Our Love Story On January 7, 2017, our paths crossed in Venice Beach through mutual friends, sparking a curiosity that quickly grew into something more. Within weeks, we had our first date, and by February 2017, we were officially a couple. Our love for adventure began early, taking us to Thailand in April, where Uns trained in Muay Thai and Mai joined in. That same year, a birthday trip to Hawaii had Uns teaching Mai how to surf, marking another unforgettable milestone.

Together, we’ve embraced an active, adventurous life—rock climbing in Yosemite, training in martial arts, and supporting each other’s passions. Uns has always been Mai’s biggest supporter at art shows, while Mai has cheered Uns on through his training and competitions. During COVID, we fostered 11 cats, and two—Bear and Lion-O—became part of our family.

On May 29, 2023, Uns gave Mai the surprise of a lifetime by proposing as soon as she returned from a backpacking trip in Redwood National Park. Just a few months later, our hearts swelled even more when we learned we were expecting a baby boy, Kai. We officially tied the knot in a small family ceremony on April 18, 2024. Three months after that, on July 18, 2024, we welcomed baby Kai into the world. Now, after eight wonderful years together, we can’t wait to celebrate our love with all our friends and loved ones on July 19, 2025.
